So many things to tell you... And 100 follower giveaway!

NOTE - Scroll down for info on the 100 follower giveaway.

Don't you hate when bloggers appologize for not blogging for a few days? Well I am not going to do that, but I am going to tell you that I had a horrible headache for 4 days, so you can guess the rest. But I did miss you guys.

I have decided to get some laminate and make a make up bag. I have never worked with laminate so any advise you have would be greatly appreciated.

Last week I worked on a new mug rug. It's made from 14 10"x10" pieces and makes 7 different mug rugs. Perfect for gifts. Im working on that tute and will have it done very soon.

AND last but not least Part 2 of the 100 follower giveaway is going on. Thanks to Shawna at 1 Choice for Quilting I have 3 charm packs left to giveaway! Shawna is the best! She has great prices and includes little goodies in the package, its like your birthday everytime you get a package from her!

I was going to continue the old post for the giveaway, but have decided to start a new post and comment list for it. So this time around: You must be a follower to enter and win.
1. Leave me a comment or your favorite fabric line.
2. Tweet about this giveaway "Craizee Corners is have a giveaway!  http://craizeecorner.blogspot.com/2011/05/some-many-things-to-tell-you.html @shapernes"
3. Add a pic to the Then and Now flickr site. Leave your flickr id on your post.
4. If you have worked with laminate and have advise for me you get another entry. Or tell me what you would make with laminate.
There you go, 4 ways to enter!

As soon as I reach 100 followers I will draw for the last 3 charm packs. And stay tuned because I have an awesome doll quilt to show you with a giveaway for that too.

Sha :)

  5. Often my favorite fabric is the latest one I've bought. So for now it's Artful Home.

  6. I was a civilian working for the Army and wokred in Europe for 7 years. The Moda line "Hideaway" reminds me so much of the houses and landscape of Germany (where I lived). The trees, houses, cuckoo clocks all reach out to my heart. One day I'll put that fabric at the top of my list and I'll finally own some. One day. Even though I'm 58 years old, I'm a fairly new quilter, and I'm still building up my stash, notions, patterns, you got it. Wow, I didn't realize when I got started that this was such an expensive hobby! LOL

  10. I'm glad your headache is a little better. The weather changing so much here in North Texas keeps my allergies and sinuses all screwed up. Guess the heat is here to stay for a while this time.
There are too many pretty fabrics to choose just one.
    Take care.

  14. My favorite fabric company is Free Spirit. My current favorite fabric collection is Aviary 2 by Joel Dewberry. My current quilt project is Moda Origins and RK Kona. I cross party lines frequently! So, it would be fun to win these charms as have never actually used a charm pack to make anything. Thanks to the sponsor!

  15. I would make a diaper changing pad with laminate (haven't used yet) where the laminate is on one side and matches the quilted fabric side. Think that this would be very cute for my expecting niece. If can get up the courage to do this....

  37. Several years ago I used some laminate on fabric to make some diaper bags. My advice is to use a teflon foot on your sewing machine and a piece of wrapping paper tissue paper or vellum paper so your layers "glide" through for the stitching.

  38. I like Moda Deb Strain and Bali pops! Thanks for the giveaway!

  39. Lookie! I'm followin' you now! Finally got my stupid Google Reader to work on my phone so I can read my blogs now. LOL

I don’t really have a favorite fabric line I'm afraid. I'm an Equal Opportunity Fabric Lover. I try not to discriminate too much. LOL

  40. Favorite line?? ummmmm....can I list like 10?
I'm working with Terrain right now so I'll go with it! Probably six or so prints I'm going to have to buy lots of!

  41. For laminates use a walking foot, or better yet a Teflon foot! Makes it much, much easier.
Be careful how and where you pin. The holes are more noticeable and don't ease out like cotton because of the coating, a bit of glue stick work well.

  42. Hope this isn't a duplicate post -- first one disappeared.
