My Computer Terminals

Have you seen the Type fabric from Windham Fabrics?

I just love the quirkiness of this fabric line and as soon as I saw it I knew I needed to make something for my office. To me this fabric screamed computers so here's my Computer Terminal Wall Hanging. I have a PDF file available for free, just email me for it.

Now I'm off to work on my next project.

Bow Tie Ric Rac

My first finished quilt of 2013! Bow Tie Ric Rac!
I made this early last year with the fabric line Spin by Windham Fabrics, but had not quilted it until now. One reason was that I didn't know how I wanted to quilt it. I wanted to do something more than stitch in the ditch, but didn't want to long arm it.

I decided to hand quilt it, or at least use my version of hand quilting. I love using perle cotton #8 in my projects and decided to outline the 'ric rac'.

It feels so good to already have 1 quilt finished this year!

If you would like a PDF version of this pattern email me and I'll send it to you.

A New Year for your machine too

Happy New Year! I hope your holiday season was wonderful. Now that I am putting away the decorations and finally finding time to do lots of quilting I decided to wish my machine a Happy New Year too. I cleaned, oiled and changed her needle and now she is purring so nicely. It hadn't been too long since I cleaned her but it's still a good idea.

So today I want to remind y'all to give your baby a good cleaning to make your new year of quilting more enjoyable to both of you. Here's a pic of my first baby, a Bernina 210.

I don't have a pic of her big sis, but here's what she looks like. She is a Bernina 630 QE and I absolutely love her!

So why not wish your machine(s) a Happy New Year with me!
